Empire Montessori Preschool is a toddler through 1st Grade Bilingual Chinese program serving children in your neighborhood. We are open Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 6:00pm. Included in the tuition is two nutritious snacks and a hot lunch. We offer full and part time schedules. We have a beautiful outside area that allows the children to ride bikes, climb on structures, and run and play on the grass area. We have Montessori Certified, and Fully Qualified Teachers on Staff and we follow the Montessori Philosophy.

Eva Maria S Balajonda

I was born in the Philippines. I graduated from college at the University of Santo Tomas with a degree in Bachelor of Science in Commerce Major in Economics. I migrated in the United States in 1987. I worked as a preschool teacher for 8 years. I pursue my career by specializing in the Montessori method of education. I am a Montessori Certified Infant and Toddler Teacher as well as an Early Childhood Montessori certified teacher. I worked as a Director in a prestigious Montessori school in the Bay Area for 14 years. My passion is teaching young children and directing preschool program based on Montessori Philosophy and Curriculum. I am responsible for planning and implementing the daily classroom lesson plans and ensuring the Health and Safety of children in the school.

Our mission at Empire Montessori Preschool has been to provide the highest educational experience for young children using the Montessori method of teaching and learning. We are committed to addressing the intellectual, emotional, physical and social growth of each child entrusted to our care. We are passionate about instilling the lifelong love of learning in every child, as well as supporting the academic, physical and emotional development that is necessary for success.

I am a parent of two lovely daughters and a grandmother of a four year old grandson who have had the good blessings to receive a Montessori education and I am so fortunate to get to serve hundreds of children as a Montessori teacher and Director for nearly 16 years. It is with great confidence that I can say that the Montessori method works. Montessori children grow up to be extraordinary adults.

Stacy Lee

I graduated from Guangzhou Teachers college in 1990. I taught in Kindergarten for three years at Jian Army Station in China and worked in preschool for three years in San Jose, California. Presently, I am working on my Montessori Preschool Teaching Credential.

Cathrine Ding

I have been teaching Chinese to school age students for many years. I love teaching young children, I have been working with preschool children for more than six years. I am a certified Montessori Early Childhood teacher.

Denise McCulloch

I was born in Glasgow, Scotland and moved over to America in 1974. I have about 25 years experience working in childcare. About 8 years of that is in a Montessori setting. We need to nurture, care and guide our children in all different aspects of their lives. What they learn how they will take with them into adulthood. Empire Montessori Preschool has been such a wonderful environment not only for the children but also for teachers.

Lina Dai

I am a fully qualified preschool and school age teacher and I have four years of experience working with children ages 3-6 years old. I am also bilingual, speaking both English and Mandarin. I am currently working on my internship to be a certified Montessori Early Childhood Teacher.

Mei-Tuan Kuo

I am fully qualified preschool and school age teacher. I have over 10 years of experience working with children ages 3 to 6 years old. I am also bilingual, speaking in English and Mandarin. In the weekend, I am teaching Chinese language in a prestigious Chinese School.

Shazia Ahmed

I was born in Karachi, Pakistan. I immigrated to United States 17 years ago. I am bilingual. I speak Urdu and English. I am a qualified teacher who have taken more than 12 units of Early Childhood Education. I have been teaching children in preschool to seventh grade since 2009. I love to be with children and my passion is teaching them. I value education and believe in teaching honesty and good morals along with day to day curriculum.

Shu-Chen Pan

I was born in Taiwan. I have been living in San Jose with husband since 1999. I studied Nursing and Psychology in Taiwan and got a nursing license and Bachelors Degree in Psychology. As certified educator for young children, I have AS degree in Early Childhood Education, California Child Development Site Supervisor Permit and have been working in licensed programs for five years. I enjoy working with young children and believe that children are individual with different needs.

Zahra Tarin

Hi my name is Zahra Tarin. I have an AA Degree in accounting and Business, also I have 8 years of experience working with children age K-6th grade. I am an ECD Associate Teacher Permit and Certificate in supervised experience. I have been working with Emppire Montessori Preschool since December of 2011 and have enjoyed every moment of it. I am happily married and have a wonderful daughter.

Humaira "Mona" Ahmed

I was born in Karachi, Pakistan. I got married in 1992 and moved to United States (Los Angeles) with my husband in 1995. I worked at a traditional school in 1996 for six months. I moved to a Montessori school where I started taking the Montessori training and after a year became a Montessori Certified Teacher. After 7 years of working at Pacific Coast Montessori School, I became pregnant and decided to leave my teaching job and enjoy my motherhood. I became a mother of 2 boys and a girl. But since my passion is teaching young children, I decided to go back to work in 2006. I was the Head Teacher of a preschool classroom and since I got my Supervision and Administration course I also worked as an Assistant Director. Because of personal reasons, we moved to Fremont, California in 2012. After living in Los Angeles for 18 years, adjusting to a new working environment is not difficult for me because all the teachers at Empire Montessori Preschool are very welcoming, cooperative and friendly including Ms. Eva, the Director.

Unnamalai Alagappan (Chitra)

I am Chitra, of Indian origin. I have been living in CA for over a decade." I have a Bachelor degree in computer science. After becoming a parent for my wonderful kids I was curious to learn child development courses. My motto is children learn through play and exploration. I'm happy to be a part of this school where they provide a safe and nurtured environment, children learn through play.
